    Bad screen or something else?

    Just replaced the screen on my VPCZ1 with a compatible 1080p screen from Optronics and this is what I'm seeing. Streaks and smudges on the lower right area of the screen, visible with all background colours. More pictures available if needed.

    Is there any way that this is anything other than a defective LCD? Cable, controller, graphics adapter? It is going to cost me to return it for replacement, so I want to be sure.
