    Basically getting Pro for free on Vaio S - any reason to not get fresh start?

    Basically the title says it all.

    Its a $100 gift card with a Vaio purcahse. $150 if its with windows pro.

    Is there any reason to not get "Fresh Start" if I am already getting the Pro upgrade?

    If you don't know how to install Windows from fresh, then get Fresh Start.

    See if there is anything bundled that you would like to have. Mostly you get trial versions that you can download yourself from the website of that software developer. The worst part with bundled software is that you get the same (outdated) version every time you reinstall the OS, so after a few months it is of no use anyway.

    As far as I can tell any of the bundled software I can get from the Sony site anyway. I am just worried I won't have the proper things for the keyboard and that nonsense.

    everything will work just fine with Fresh Start. i got my VAIO SA with Windows 7 Professional and with Fresh Start. it's basically just less bloatware.
