    Hey guys,

I recently bought a used TZ190N/B (32 GB SSD, US model) and I finished the basic clean install and I'm trying to install the programs/drivers that I need.

Does the Battery Care function/feature come standard with the US versions of the TZ1xx series? It is not available for download on the sony esupport site and is not listed in the programs list on my self-made recovery discs. The only thing remotely similar is "Battery Checker" in Notebook Utilites package, but that only verifies if the battery being used is a genuine Sony battery.

I ran a search and found that Battery Care can be downloaded from the link in post #4 of this thread: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=158348&highlight=battery+care+function
But I figured that if the feature isn't offered on Recovery discs or the sony essuport site, then maybe it isn't meant to run on my specific TZ... Will it work on mine?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

you can try to install it, and if your model doesn't support the battery care function, you will notice that you are unable to click anything in the program.

but what i know is the TZ does support battery care function, give it a try

Thanks for the reply. I installed it yesterday and it does work. I also successfully installed Vaio Control Center and Vaio Status Monitor which weren't on my Recovery discs or the support site for the TZ1xx series.

I don't understand why, as big and dominant a company as Sony is, they have such a poorly managed/updated support site. I mean it's one thing to have ty (in my experience) technical support via telephone, but at least upkeep your support site properly so people don't have to call in!
