i left my battery fully charged a week or two ago only to find that my battery was fully drained today. is this a common problem in sony's SZ6 series? and will warranty cover this?

There has been some discussiin about this before, and let me refer in my answer to what I've read in the thread.
For each component you'll find different stages of shutting down, I believe D3 was the lowest, now the problem is that even if you shut down you Vaio some devices will only be in D2, and thus use some power.
So unless you manage to chane the state into which these devices go you have to put up with a little power loss...
Just wondering: Why was you laptop lying around for 1 or 2 weeks on battery?
(Just because mot people will use their's every day)
