OK so i just bought a sony SZ 120,i fully charged it last night and brought it to the office today. I had it on speed mode and brightness a little over half with the power setting on maximum battery and i got 2.5 hours of battery life.

Is this normal? I know they advertise 7 hours which im sure is way over estimated but i was hoping for at least 4 on speed mode and about 5 on stamina.

    Thanks for the comments.

It probably is a bit low, but if its the first real charge up, then it may be that it will take a few charges for the battery to get going. Correct me if i'm wrong.

There are a lot of other factors: graphic mode, screen resolution, brightness, fancy colors, system volume, wireless on/off, and what you did on the labtop.

yes. go read other posts. I've talked this to death b4. but 2.5 can be normal. and on full gfx load you'll get just under an hour. Try and look for other posts that deal with battery. There are alot of helpful hints on how to get longer times.
