I'm thinking of buying a V505EC with a Celeron M processor because I can get a really good price on one. I have three questions relating to battery life that I'm hoping someone can help answer for me:

    1. If I upgrade the Celeron processor to a Pentium M processor, will this in itself make the difference in improved battery life? People talk about getting 4+ hours - can I expect this too if I do the upgrade or is there something that I'm not considering?

    2. I know of someone who has a V505 Celeron M processor laptop and they tell me that they get about 2 hours of battery life on average. However, folks who have the Pentium M processor version of the V505 often claim 4-5 hours of battery life. Does the Pentium M processor really make THAT much difference alone? If so, then I assume my question above, would be yes - correct? I just find it hard to believe that the processor alone could make a 2 hour difference in battery life.

    3. Are there settings that can be adjusted (other than the brightness) on any V505 to improve battery life? I often read about people stating that they have had to adjust their settings on their Pentium M V505's to get the 4-5 hours of battery life. I'm wondering if I were to get the Celeron M processor V505, is there anything that I could do in the settings to improve battery life? I understand that I won't get as good of life as the Pentium M models, but I'm wondering if there is anything I can do to improve it from the 2 hours that it gets to perhaps 3 hours or more.

Wow, no comments or help from anyone regarding my questions?? Hard to believe with as many knowledgeable people as there are on this forum that I can't seem to get any help. Oh well, I guess I'm on my own.
