I AM DYING, to get a Tool or Utility, that tells me how many times, my battery pack has been charged, and also an ACCURATE ESTIMATION TO THE WEAR LEVEL, but mostly interested in the first (Charging Cycles)
There is a utility that comes in some of the VAIOs, that limits the charging to 80% in-order to preserve its life, and another one which I already have called ISB Utility, or sth. like that..... its supposed to TEST the batery, but I never succeeded running this tool, although its a part from the Recovery application, i.e. its there when you recover your system.
HOW the hell, can I run it, and check my battery?
Please Help me Im desprate!

the utility in some vaios is called BatteryCare

All the ISB Utility does is test the genuineness of the battery, nothing else. ie it checks if the battery is original sony; if its not then it doesn't let the notebook use it. i recommend you disable the utility.

How can I get the BatteryCare downloaded for use with my SZ48GN?
Please tell me... -
There's a nice app called Notebook hardware control (NHC) -> http://www.pbus-167.com/
It will give you, among other things, the wear level of the battery. -
Thanks alot, I Like the NHC alot, but yet its somehow complicated, yet useful, MAN, the Vaio Power Utility is just AWESOME, I just recognized that you can disable certain Hardware like iLink, Modem, Audio and even CD, plus set the resolution to 26-Bit color depth, and was amazed by how it impacted the Performance and most importantly, the battery life.
Sony is GREAT, and is: LIKE.NO.OTHER -
sorry I meant 16-Bit

Sony doesnt offer Battery Care on their support site. As far as I know, the app doesnt tell you about cycle amount or the wear on the battery. All it does it limit the capacity the battery will charge.
Battery Question Guys, please help
