    Hi all

I am hoping to recieve my S3XP in the UK early next week after recieving loads of bull**** and paying the assholes for what must be nearly 4 weeks now. however lets hope it turns out ok and not damaged or faulty.
first of all should i try and claim anything free off them or is that just a bit cheeky :)

the main question is really is should i unplug the battery when using it at a powerpoint at all times to retain battery life and longevity?

    Many thanks

Most new laptops come with "Smart" batteries, they won't allow you to overcharge them. Sony is no exception. I leave my battery in at all times(VGN-A190). The laptop sits in the dock to run off power all day, unless I pick it up and go into the other room.

It won't hurt the battery to be installed all the time. HTH.

    thakns for that
its just that i heard that some people are having charging or battery problems where it will only charge to a certain percantage and then stop, it seems strange. i just thought that it would just be more sensible to take it out instead of having it top up the battery whenever it would drop by a few percent. anyhow if all you guys leave the battery in thats good for me!
