    Battery Charge Question

    Is there some way to check the charge level within windows? What about on the notebook itself? An LED or something to that effect.

    yeah go to where you change your screen saver, click the 'power' button and there is a tab in there that will show it to you. You can tick a check box to allow it to put the battery icon in the system trey.
