I've just recently bought a laptop, and I want to know whether the battery degrades when it is left in the Vaio when it's on AC Power. Is it better to take it out or leave it in, it stays at 99% but says charging the whole time, will this degrade it?

Use the Vaio Control Center Battery Care function - pick either 80% or 50% and let it be - constantly charging to 100% is not good for your battery.

Yeah, I asked this. But with he battery care function enabled you just leave it in there.

I only take mines out because when i game the bottom of the laptop gets pretty hot and so does the battery and heat is not good for the batt.

I just played Crysis Wars (MechWarrior Living Legends mod) for about 3 hours with an overclocked GPU (620/1364/840) and the bottom is cool to the touch except right under the GPU where its a little warm but not hot.
