    Hello all:

1 or 2 weekends I messed up something in Windows, and to cut a long story short, I reinstalled Windows.
Now due to a few mishaps, I actually installed it 3 times until it finally works.

Before I generally got a battery time of about 4 hours out of an 80% charge.
Since the reinstal my battery time seems to have shrunk considerably.
Around 6-8 minutes per hour less in the Vista battery indicator.

I haven't actually timed it, yet.

But did something breakduring the Vista reinstallltion? I also left the laptop running overnight... battery was at that time charged up 100%, I normally use the battery utility to charge it up to 80%

I would like to hear your opinions as to what is going on.
    Thanks a lot in andvance.

How many processes do you have running and do you notice any running that were not running before?
Also go to system configuration type this into the start menu and see what setting your computer is running under the general tab. If it is on normal start up all systems and services will load. It is best to select the select startup services option.

Also how did you install did you do it from a Vista install disc or from disk image that is on your laptop/one that you burnt?

Your computer if you have indexing turned on will need to index again and this could affect battery life slightly. You could try turning indexing of.

I don't think that the 100% capacity will have done anything as i have left my computer running at 100% capacity since i got mine in April and my battery is still in tip top shape.

Processes - if I start it up and leave it, it'll come down to 62.
    At the moment its 65.

I used the immage from the recovery centre and I did tidy up my startups and processes.
