    Hi,

I just found out that my VAIO Power Meter is showing "Battery not present".

I've carefully cleaned the connectors, took out and replaced it a few times, and still no luck. Battery is not being recognized. It worked for 3 years so its high time it stopped working

Now, I want to get a new battery but I've been reading that ISBMgr.exe wont let me use aftermarket batteries (from eBay). Disabling ISBMgr.exe wont help either since the Power Meter won't show my the time left for the new battery to run out.

Has anyone found a solution for this yet?

Im using VAIO VGN-FS660/W with XP SP3.

    Thanks in advance.
