    Question:
    Does you battery work?

I had this when my battery failed - Sony replaced it :) (unlucky me on that occasion)

Else - you can ue CCleaner or autoruns or msconfig to remove the isbmgr from the startup list.
But: You should keep the entry - only deactivate, do not delete.

Then just stop it from running until someone comes up with an explanantion and/or a fix.

All the utility is designed to do is check for a Sony battery and stop youfrom using a non Sony battery.

Do you know how to stop an autostart program?

I've alluded to it in the above post...

As soon as you boot up type in system configuration in the start up menu and under start up disable ISB Utility.
This is basically what was suggested above but another simple way to do it.

You should check the Sony eSupport website to make sure that there's not a battery recall for the battery that you're using. If your battery hasn't been recalled, simply disable 'isbmgr.exe' in MSCONFIG (Start > Run > MSCONFIG). This is simply a program that Sony uses to let you know that they don't like the idea of you using 3rd party batteries.
