I had bought my VAIO Z series in January and when i had open the box and put the battery inside my notebook the battery was empty it hadn't any energy not even to start the notebook so i saied to myself if it's empty and for the moment i don't use it why should i charge her?so i left her like so..empty but now i'm thinking if it is good to live her like so empty for a long time if i don't use her,or should i charge her from time to time (1 time/month) and live her like so?does this affect the battery life if i live her empty like sony has given to me?

chrage it and discharge it for 2 or 3 times and then charge it to 30% if you want to store it somewhere without using it .

Lithium batteries are best stored outside the laptop, with 50% charge, in a cooler place. This is only needed for long term storage (1 month or more).
