Hi, I have some battery questions about this notebook that I'm hoping could be answered.

    1) It seems that the battery drains quite a bit when not in use. I turn off the laptop and it seems 10 to 20 percent of the charge is gone in one day. Is this normal? On my older Dell 700m after a week of non use it will still be around 90%.

    2) I could have sworn when charging the laptop before the little battery led on the front left edge of the laptop would blink. Lately, It only turns on when I unplug the laptop and it's running off battery. Is there a setting I changed by accident?

Thanks in advance for any help you can provide.

it blinks if your battery is really charging, if its full, it wont blink. If I remember correctly too, if your machine is on, it doesnt blink.
Losing charge of 10%~ is normal for my SZ when i turn it on after charge and go into battery mode. Note that my battery life is also longer than the FZ.

Yes the FZ's standard battery is really poor in holding charge.

Thanks for answering Kyoshiro and coolguy. Was just worried because it drains to nothing after a couple of days if the battery is attached, but only loses like 10% of its charge if I remove battery from laptop.

This is weird. It shouldn't be draining to 0% afte a couple of days. Also the battery discharges too quickly if you expose it in the cold.

It does tilt the FZ up in the back a bit. But it actually puts the keyboard at a very nice comfortable angle. The rear is raised about one inch.

Please don't post the same question into multiple threads in the same forum.

Hmm... I'll try it again with the battery connect and discounted. But it really does seem to drain lots faster connected.
