    Hello,

I have this small but disturbing problem, I don't know if this is right room to open this thread but here it is:

I own a Vaio F12S1E, we have this Fn shortcut keys you know, to increase volume or brightness and some other stuff...

When I increase the volume, everytime there is a digital, disturbing beep noise which lets you know that you are increasing or decreasing volume, which is absoulutely unnecessary and disturbing at higher volumes while using headphones..

Do you know how can I mute this sound effect?

    Thanks.
    Ömer

I've only seen one way to deal with that: find that .wav file and rename it. I believe it's in one of the Sony directories, though I've forgotten the name

OH , yes, I did it! It's in Sony Vaio Event Service folder, some .wav file called Pi .....stopped playing after I renamed it!

You are intelligent computer user, thank you :).

You are welcome :) Though the credit really should belong to that forum member whose name I can't quite recall at this time...
