    Hello fellow Sony VAIO users,

I am thinking about upgrading my RAM on my SZ650 and I know there are two slots, each currently filled with 1GB RAM sticks, so I need a 2GB RAM stick, and was wondering what would be some good options (brand, compatibility, speed, etc).

Thanks in advance for reading and responding to this. :)

There's very little performance difference between the various brands of notebook RAM. You will need DDR2-667 (PC5300 or PC5400) 200 pin SODIMM. See the RAM deals thread for the current prices.

doesnt the sz650 support 6400 (dual Channel)? that way you can take advantage of the 800Mhz front bus.

Sony down clocks it to 667MHZ. I noticed a nice performance boost, I went from 2GB to 3GB then 4GB.
