Yes an express card but which doesn't step outside of the vaio case :p
Because actualy i was thinking on the same solution as you to change the 6200 with a 6300 but how my VAIO still is in guaranty i can't open it :(

Your laptop actually is not under warranty since you did the BIOS hack. You will get no flush fit EC wit 3x3 streams like the 6300 so far.

I really don't know of any WiFi express card that is going to be any better than the built in 6200. Also I have been inside my case many times without voiding the warranty, there are NO SEALS to break. You can just put it all back the way it was if you need service. Not like the techs are going to know exactly how it was anyway. The tech who tried to fix my Bluetooth put it in backwards and it didn't work. I doubt the Sony hired out techs would even notice if you swapped in a 6300.

Furthermore, what good is a WiFi express card that doesn't stick out? For it to be better than the 6200 it would need at least one high gain antenna that would stick out... and up.

Thank you for the answer i was thinking to open and change some things inside the Z but how i still have guaranty 1 year and a half i was thinking not to break the seals and avoid guaranty but if it's like you said i will open and maybe change the 6200 with a 6300 :D
