I was looking at pictures of the Sony FW online and I'm very interested in purchasing. I just wanted to know matter of factly which models are the gamer powerhouses in the Sony line?

    Thanks guys.

it's the FW, although the AW would be better for gaming... it's costs a LOT though

None really. Unfortunately Sony doesn't have any decent gaming systems in my opinion.

In the FW series the higher models get an ATI 3650 (lower versions have ATI 3470). The AW series are better for gaming as they have versions with a 9600GT (lower versions have a 9300GS). Thats about it from sony, all other models come with 3470 of 9300 as the fastest videocard in them.

Best model? High end AW series.
Still good but not as expensive? Higher end FW series.

To be honest, if you are a gamer on the go, Sony Vaios aren't the best for that. Look at the likes of Toshiba, HP and Asus.

I've just realized that SR series is equipped with Radeon 4570 (Japan only for now...) and I'm trying to figure out how to get one / when they'll be available in Europe/USA.

I reckon that should satisfy my gaming needs! while being really ultraportable ;-)
