What carry cases/bags are you guys using for you SZ laptops? I'm overwhelmed by the choices online, and shops I've checked out here in the UK have a very limited selection and nothing that is either the right size or that I like. I don't want to buy something online to find that it's not quite right. Some of the Crumpler bags look nice. Either over shoulder or backpack style would work, although comfort is paramount. Any suggestions very welcome. Thanks... :)

Not sure what your requirements are in a bag, but if you're looking for something small (just enough to carry the SZ and necessary accessories), try the Kensington Compact Duo:

    http://us.kensington.com/html/5729.html

It is advertised as being for Tablet PC's and 12" laptops, but it also fits the SZ very well, and is a very compact bag. The accessory section in the front provides enough room to carry an AC adaptor (the Kensington slim Notebook Adaptor is very good here) and perhaps a few other accessories).

The main appeal of this case from my perspective was that it was small, while still letting me carry the SZ and the power adaptor and a spare battery. This was important to me because it was kind of a waste otherwise to have a laptop the size of the SZ but then have to carry it around in a big case meant for 15.4" notebooks.

Yeah, I do want something smaller and that is a good fit for the SZ. I agree it defeats the point of having a laptop that size otherwise!

Would ideally like something that is a bit more comfy. That strap doesn't look like it will be that kind if lugging it around all day.

    I found this Booqbag one which looks pretty nice. Good use of storage it seems. Dimensions are almost the same as the Kensington;

The strap itself on the Kensington Compact Duo is actually really well padded and comfortable, and the SZ is light enough that it's definitely possible to carry it around all day and not really feel anything.

The Booq stuff is excellent though, hard to go wrong with them.

i really prefer backpack style bags because it's make carry the laptop more comfortable and it's harder for someone to snatch a backpack then something just slung over my shoulder.

i used a samsonite backpack for a long time. it's small, light weight, and can hold alot more then it looks. the dedicated computer compartment is lined and suspended so if you were to put your pack down a little hard then usual, the laptop stays safe. you can even put a few magazines/files/book back there. the front section has pouches/pockets for everything: cellphone, ipod, pens, business cards, etc. the best part is the the ergonomics are perfect! it's so comfortable, i can carry it on my back for hours with everything in there and feel like i barely have anything on my back at all. the best part is that it doesn't look like a computer bags so i keeps theives looking in other directions.

this is it, but mine is solid black

i travel a lot so i go through a lot of different bags. this is the first one i've had nothing to complain about.

recently i downsized my camera equipment, so instead of having a seperate camera roller suitcase, i carry everything in this (vaio sz, nikon d80 with nikon 28-70/2.8 on the body, nikon 50mm/1.4, sigma 30mm/1.4, nikon 105/2.8 vr, nikon 70-300vr, nikon sb600, gary fong LSII, and a nikon d50 body, + spare batteries, memory cards, cleaning supplies, etc...it take a lot of stuff in a small form!).

for light photo travelling i use this (d80 or d50 with 18-200vr + sigma 30/1.4). even if you don't have camera stuff, this makes an awesome computer bag. very comfortable.

an australian company called crumpler makes awesome bags as well. i had camera specific packs, but they have a bunch of computer back packs and messenger bags that are great as well. their website is very
    interesting." check it out

stay away from tumi. being it's a expensive name brand, i had high expectations. i used 2 different bags and they are more designed well.

I've gone through quite a few. All were decent. My current is this:

    Other good ones I've owned:
    Cole Haan Monostrap
    http://www.colehaan.com/colehaan/catalog/product.jsp?productId=118762&categoryId=300276

Great bag, but a tad larger (height-wise). Comfortable.

    Acme-Made backpack

Only thing to watch out for is the magnetic clasps. Can't overload this one. Perfect size for the SZ.

Actually got this for my old Sharp, but the SZ fits exactly in it.

I'm actually in the process of selling the other 3 ...

I actually have 3 bags that I use and always looking for more:

For Work - Alda Ballistic Passage 2 Slim Briefcase
This is very lightweight and looks like Tumi at about 1/4 of the price. I can fit the SZ, power adapter(if I am going anywhere besides the office where I have a spare), a couple of folders, a notepad, accessories, etc.

    For Personal Travel
    Brighton Laptop Case
This is very small and slim and can't fit much, but also very compact for traveling. Made out of Brighton signature fabric and no longer available - sorry.

    Other Personal Use
inCase sleeve that can fit inside another bag if necessary but also has handles and shoulder strap. Has a discreet debossed apple on it. No longer available.
