I have just ordered Windows Vista DVD upgrade kit for my Sony SZ. I got confirmation email asking me to submit proof of purchase. They offer me 3 options: mail, email or fax. What is the best way to submit it?
Will I get confirmation email after I submit the proof of purchase?

I faxed them and emailed them and also emailed them again for confirmation of receipt. I didn't hear anything back, except that they have taken the money out of my credit card....

    Good luck!!

I sent a scanned copy by email. You should get email notification when the POP has been verified, but you can also check the status of your order at the moduslink website. First it will show COA verified and then it will show POP/COA verified. If the POP is not verified, resend the relevant document.

Yeah, the whole Credit Card system sucks.

At that point, I am glad to live in the EU, where Credit Cards are rare and never necessary.

I would suggest you write your confirmation# on a copy of your proof of purchase then fax it.

Does anyone know if the DVD you get when you do the MS "anytime upgrade" is the same as what you get from Sony specified in this thread?

I applied for the upgrade via moduslink in january, but I never submitted a proof of purchase because I bought the laptop on ebay. So i suspected that I would never receive the disc. But yesterday I got an email saying it has been shipped, so I guess I somehow skipped the proof of purchase step :) they say shipping takes 3 weeks, but I'll post back if it arrives

Where do you go to request the upgrade? Does this apply to all SZ models?

What happens to their fax machine 253-896-5030? My fax never goes through. I sent them Proof of Purchase by email today but I have not received confirmation. How do I check the status of my order (what website) ?

If 253-896-5030 is busy, try 253-922-4283. I don't think anyone has received confirmation unless they specifically emailed them, and asked. A Q Media rep has told me she's doesn't know whether, or not there a website where you can check your order. I suggest you email them, and ask about the status of your order.
