It was low on battery this morning so i shut the laptop off.
Now when I press the power button, the green light comes on, and so does the battery light for the duration the press.
The green light proceeds to stay on, however there is NO activity coming from the laptop (fan, cd drive, keyboard LEDs). The only way to turn off the power light is to remove the battery.

    Help?

Also, i got it from the US while i live in Canada.

try this: disconnect AC and remove battery, press and hold the power button for ~10-20 sec.

Then put the battery back, connect AC power and press power button.

Let us know if it helped.
