I went to the Sony Store to costumize a Vaio S, but due to budget constrains, I can only choose one of the following:
1600x900 screen (vs the standard 1366x768) with the i3-3110M
    or
    1366x768 screen with the i5-3210M

the rest of the specs are normal:
    Nvidia 640LE
320gb (I chose the lowest as I'll be swapping it with my own SSD anyway)
    4gb of RAM, etc

    What do you guys choose?
Will the i3 CPU be enough for games? (GTA, Skyrim, Crysis, Starcraft)
I do not need ultra-high settings, low to moderate is enough, as long as it's playable

i5M is a i3M without Turbo Boost. IMO should be enough for playing most games. I would go for better resolution, the 720p panel is really poor according to most reviews available in the net.

Since when does the S come with an i3 processor? Does it have the 640M LE or no?

If you can't afford the S with the dedicated graphics (640M), I would suggest just getting a different laptop. The GPU is the main selling point of the S series compared to the competition.

Like I said above, both the i3 and the i5 HAS the dedicated 640M, so it's just a matter of better screen/CPU

In that case I would take the i3+900p display. How much more money is the i5?

    About 100$ give or take.
I agree, I'm leaning towards the i3+900 display

Check Sony Outlet for refurbished models. They are 1 year warranty with really attractive price.
