I sent my fz to sony for a repair because of a high pitch noise issue.
Sony said that it is an inherent problem in the FZ series of notebooks and it is an issue and sony engineers are working on it.
I don't know how such a big company releases a much awaited notebook with inherent problems?
May be only one out of 10 fz's get such noise I guess?

the high pitched noise problem is something very common with core duo/core 2 duo notebooks. it is a problem with the cpu, not necessarily anything sony did.

The noise can be remedied if they replace your motherboard.

Same goes for new Santa Rosa HP notebooks. This is the problem with Intel.

Coolguy what kind of spec did you have on your FZ
Thanks -
