    Hey everyone,

    I just got a Sony SR today and everything was working well (including the fingerprint reader). However, after I restarted my computer, the finger print reader stopped working for some reason and it was no longer recognized by my computer. I have tried everything (full system recovery, reinstalling individual biometric drivers, resetting the system to factory settings) and nothing seems to work. I really don't want to send in a brand new vaio for repair... so if you have any ideas of something I could try to get it to work that would be much appreciated.

    hi,
    is this wokring now?
    i have the same problem. it worked for a year and then suddenly stopped working. however , in control panel, if i test the reader it scans my finger ok. however it just wont work wiht the ql suite.

    Check the SR thread - probably last four to five pages where I had a similar problem and someone posted a possible solution (power off, remove battery, wait a long time put it back in)
