I just did a Bios update on a SZ5 series from version RO101 to RO122S5 or something like that. Was that ok to do?

Would that have damaged or reduced performance? For example when i press the power button i have to wait like around 5 - 7 seconds for the Vaio Bios Boot screen to show. Is this normal? I'm a little worried...
