i want to thank everyone for your help in advance
my nephew came home from Afghanistan and handed me his laptop it is a Sony Vaio PCG-7185L. He said it had been working fine when he got home it was dead so he plugged it in and there is just a green light on in front with a black screen...when reboot i see green light come on and a couple yellow lights quickly flash to the left then solid green no other lights at all. also it doesnt seem to be taking a charge if i unplug it the green light goes out in front.there is some activity because it is warm to the touch on the back left corner by the vent where the fan is. ive worked on a few laptops replacing hdd, ram and stuff and work on desktop pc's so i can get around ok just need a little guidance

    thanks again
