I just bought a FS760 and was amazed at how many programs were already loaded on it (vaio zone or something like that). Do I need to keep these programs on there or can I just delete them? And I feel like a total idiot because I can't figure out how to charge the battery. Do I need a special charger or what?

The battery charges when it's inside the laptop and the laptop is plugged into the wall. As to software, you might use some of the Vaio stuff, but other demos and applications that you know you don't need can be removed though the add/remove programs wizard in control panel.
