I am unable to play any dvd's using my bluray player. I have downgraded to xp sp2 and only had problems with the camera working. I have downloaded divX thinking it was a codec issue but have had no luck. if anyone has any light they can shed on this issue it will be appreciated. just purchased a new samsung 46inch lcd w/1080p and would love to take advantage of my bluray player.

    thanks

Be aware that when plugging computer into your Samsung HDTV, through HDMI it will only allow you 1080I not 1080P.

Divx has nothing to do with Blu-Ray.

What kind of video card, CPU and amount of RAM and the DVD drive?
You must have the latest update for your video driver and latest patch for your software player. Also, I found that XP tends to be more problematic when playing Blu-Ray. I have dual boot and the movie tends to be jerky or freeze in XP. All are well in Vista.

My tv is 1080p compatible and my hdmi cable is as well so i'm not sure why you think it will just be 1080i but moving on. I appreciate the info concerning xp. at this point i am considering going back to vista until sony provides certified drivers for my model. thanks.
