I have a FZ with a BD drive. I can watch blu-ray dvd's fine on my laptop but as soon as I try to watch it on my HDTV via HDMI cable I get "your display emvoriment does not support protected content playback".

I understand this to be some kind of copyright protection but how do I get around this or how do I watch DVD's via my tv? Seems silly that its protecting itself from playing on my TV. Its not like I am making copies of it.

Sorry if this has been covered in another thread but the search feature seems to have disappeared.

its because of vista. there is some setting that allows you to play the movie only on one screen , that fixes it. adn oh yeah before you ask also link audio to the tv.

go into display and click on ouput to one display on external monitor(something along those lines) and audio to external.
