    So it was just brought to my attention that blu-ray drives are incapable of burning dual layer DVDs..is this true? Are all blu-ray drives like this or just the ones in Sony notebooks? :confused:

    Hmmm...interesting. Well it appears anyways that the Z series Blu-ray drive does not burn DVD dual layer 8.5 gig discs. This is a nice review http://www.siliconpopculture.com/articles/review/sony_vaio_z/
    of the Z590 model and it says that the Blu-ray drive cannot burn but can read dual layer DVDs. :-(

    They should correct that error on the spec sheet. DVD+/-R DL burning is important for some people.
