My Z2 was left on with external hard rive & flash drive plugged in. I left it probably for 1 hour or so and then when I got back, got the blue screen of death. so I forced it off by holding the power button then when I turned it on, it said operating disk not found, so i turned it off again and waited 20 seconds, then on, then it turned on normally (asked if i wanted it on safe mode on the screen, etc- that normal process when something isnt shut off right popped up).... it happened again the ff week after being left untouched with stuff plugged in (from what it seems like).

I surely hope it is not a faulty drive or bios but i think it has something to do with the drives being plugged in the usb hub perhaps? Plus it was left on for a an hour or so without going to sleep.

I got it to work after turning it off then turning it on again.
My anti virus didn't find anything and vaio care said everything was ok. I am able to use laptop normally too. I just hope that thing doesnt happen again or something I should be worried about. Do not have a lot of software installed.

I am not familiar too much diagnosing it by doing the "dump" " kernel thing" they are talking about to find the root cause.

What should I do? Should I be worried? I was thinking of letting it pass then if it happens again, I will then do something about it.

Hope someone can guide me. Thnx

i'd suggest you update the USB 3.0 drivers. as far as i remember, there used to be a bug in Renesas USB 3.0 drivers that would cause BSOD by powering down the port due to inactivity for a long time, and then the system would BSOD after one would return to the machine and start working with it.
