I recently bought a Sony Bluetooth mouse and on the packaging it says that the provided batteries could last for three months. I'm confused on how this is supposed to be used. Does it mean that it will last three month even if I leave it on and connected all the time? I have my laptop docked and it stays on 24/7. If I leave this mouse connected with the laptop, will it still last three months?

In the mouse settings window of the Control Panel, under Bluetooth, the mouse shows only 85% charge remaining after only 4 days of the type of usage described above!

So, I gotta put the switch to "Off" when I'm not using it. Ok.

maybe not , most bluetooth mice will goto sleep when not used in a power saver mode, and will wake up when you move them.
