Is there anyone who uses bluetooth mouse with SZ or FE series?
I highly consider to get CTO (customized) version of SZ or FE series because of using Bluetooth mouse (sick of USB mouse/receiver).
    Is it worth thought?
Please post your thoughts/comments about sensibility and connectivitiy?
    Thanks

I'm using the Logitech V270 BT mouse for my SZ & it is great for travel as I don't have to worry about the USB dongle & also minimize the fiction with plugging & unplugging the USB dongle everytime.

I am using a bluetooth mouse and loving it.

Currently I got the MS Wireless Notebook Presenter 8000, normally $80-100 but I was able to score a new one on "the bay" for about 50.

It works via BT without the dongle, and also includes buttons on the bottom of the mouse that you can either
    1) control slideshows with (the original purpose)
    2) control media player with - which is great for changing tracks or pausing a movie while watching from even across the room

It also has a built-in laser pointer for kicks, and its the same size as the other notebook wireless mice.

    Thanks for quick reply.
    How about sensitivility and connectivity?
I do remember one post about losing connection after several minutes with no use.
Is it just like USB mouse?

Sensitivity is great, the mouse is laser with 1000dpi resolution. You can also tweak sensitivity in the properties to increase battery life from the mouse.

As far as connectivity is just like a USB mouse. The mouse itself has an on/off switch, so when I'm away from the computer for a while, I turn it off. When I come back, I turn the mouse on, and the computer re-connects within a couple of seconds.

I have not had any problems with the mouse/computer dropping connection. (FYI I using the BT drivers that came pre-loaded)

I use the logitech mx900 bt mouse and it works great. No lag at all. However, using BT and WIFI at the same time may interfere with the WIFI signal and cause periodic disconnects/reconnects. That's my experience at least, and this is indicated in the Wireless Switch Setting Utility. It's worth it for me, but sometimes gets annoying when gaming online and you get disconnected mid-game.

I used the the Kensington BT and it sucked.
It lost connection frequently and had fits of spasm.
    Battery life was horrid.

I now use Logitech V270, no problems. Never had an issue with wifi and Bt running at the same time. It is just as accurate as my MS wired mouse, love it.

I'm very happy with V270 too ! Absolutely no problems. Battery time is very nice as well (1-2 month /daily use). I did not notice any interference between BT and wifi, however I have pretty frequent random drop outs with linksys wrt54gl router. But I ruled out any BT interference.

I cannot install the Setpoint software, so I can have basic function. But do you know what are the extra functions if installed the setpoint software? Are they useful?

I own a two week old SZ460 and also purchased the Presenter 8000 bluetooth mouse. Question for you:

Quite often, when waking the notebook up from hibernation, I get a Vista error saying that "intellimouse has shut down" and asking me if I "want to restart" or if I "want to restart and search online for a solution".

You experience this? If so, is there a fix?

I use a V270 with my SZ330PB and Vista. It works perfectly. I've never had any lag or disconnects. I use the built-in Vista BT stack...didn't install the Toshiba one that Sony gives. It really works great - no complaints whatsoever.

I have an SZ430 and the built-in BT works fine w/ both a generic BT mouse I bought from CompUSA and a Dell wireless BT mouse that was part of a keyboard/mouse bundle (I am not using any extra dongles besides the built-in BT of the SZ).

I can use the mice concurrently w/o any problems, if I walk away for a while and come back, it's never hiccupped - just reconnects and moves the cursor almost instantly. I don't perceive any lag even when CPU is tagged at high usage. Sometimes I fall asleep w/o turning off the BT mouse and when I wiggle it in the morning the cursor moves just fine as if it were only a few minutes. The Dell BT keyboard and mouse combo has had surprisingly good battery life (it's also pretty cool that the color scheme matches my SZ so nicely).
