We all know Sony loves to be proprietary, but this is pretty bad news, especially for Sony notebook owners who want to sync a Pocket PC over Bluetooth.

Several reports have recently surfaced indicating Sony's Bluespace NE software, deployed in many recent laptop models from the manufacturer, does not adhere fully to Bluetooth standard specifications as Windows Mobile device owners are unable to synchronize over Bluetooth serial connections. Meanwhile Sony readily admits that it does not guarantee connectivity for at least one class of Windows Mobile devices, namely Pocket PCs.
