    I may be over-reacting here, but I just realized that I can access the Internet from my VAIO FW490 via Bluetooth tethering using my LG Vu. No special tools or software needed, except the Broadcom Bluetooth Driver from Sony eSupport. It's really quite handy if you plan to take your laptop on the road.

    Yes, you can tether to your iPhone.

    if you're in the US, you need a jailbroken 3.0 phone (not 3.1). but yes, I do it every day. it's not a hardware issue; it's a software issue.

    so long as your BT drivers are properly installed and you have a JB'd 3.0 iPhone, you can make it happen.
