Hi,
First, I have to say that I absolutely hate my Vaio (VGN FZ190). I have been trying REALLY hard not to hate it, but it has been the biggest pain, and nothing seems to work on it (I know Vista is mostly to blame). Unfortunately, there's nothing I can do but suck it up, so I am hoping you might be able to help me hate it a bit less.
Anyway, I just got off of chat AND phone support with Sony and my problem isn't resolved. I was trying to connect my Vaio to my BlackBerry Curve for the first time (this is also the first time I have tried to do anything with bluetooth with the Vaio). The phone sees and connects with the Vaio, but the Vaio does not detect the phone. I tried reinstalling the software (Toshiba Bluetooth Stack) and did everything else the tech support guys told me to do, but still it did not detect the phone. SO, my question is this--is there a program that I can use INSTEAD of the Toshiba Bluetooth Stack (especially since you have to pay for it after 30 days, and why would I pay for that piece of junk that doesn't even work, anyway)? Any other suggestions would be most welcome.
Sorry to be so verbose. I guess I should have a bit of a cooling down period after talking to tech support before I post on these boards!

Use the newer version of toshiba bluetooth stack (5.10.12).
Backup tosbtchk.dll and uninstall the original Bt stack.
Install the 5.10.12 then replace the tosbtchk.dll to the factory installed sony version.
This will solve the 30 day evaluation problem.
It works well on my Sz680.
Or you can use the Widcomm 5.1 Bt stack.

This is not the modded.
My bluetooth device (Sz680) is on the VID_044E&PID_300D&REV1915.
You have to change the VID&PID in the btwusb.inf.
Uninstall all bluetooth software before the installation..
Unfortunately the widcomm software not works with Nokia PcSuite... so I had to find the first hack to use the PcSuite with my phone...
Bluetooth connection issues! Help!
