So I recently purchased a Logitech Wireless PC Music System, which consists of a usb bluetooth transmitter and a receiver that hooks up to your stereo receiver. ow since my SZ 280 has built-in bluetooth, I would like to not have to have the bluetooth transmitter plugged in. So I start the device up in pairing mode and go to the bluetooth manager.
First off, the bluetooth program that comes with the SZ is awful...I don't know if anyone else feels the same way.
So when I search for devices, the bluetooth program sees the device, and I click to continue. It then says "setting up audio device" and then gives me the message "connection to a remote device failed. please try again."
I know of others who have gotten a 3rd party bluetooth dongle to work with this product, and I can't understand why I can't seem to get it to work. Also worth noting is that others who have gotten it to work were prompted for a code to pair, whereas I was not.
Any ideas?

Try updating your bluetooth software from the sony site.

I agree, that software is kinda insufficient. That's why I switched to Widcomm Bluetooth software.
