    Hello everyone!

I have a one year old sz680 CTO with a bluetooth vaio mouse VGP-BMS33. The strange thing is that the mouse only works well when I position it to the left of the vaio. When I have it between me and the laptop, the mouse pointer moves in shocks, and on the right it doesn't work at all. (As a test, I also tried it behind the laptop and there it also in shocks).

I have tried to move the laptop to a different location, away from external power. I have turned of wlan & wwan. I have used different batteries, both common and rechargables. I have removed the standard bluetooth stack and installed Bluesoleil. All to no avail.

Because of this behavior, I expected the BT module to be positioned on the left of the laptop and maybe have a weak signal, but when I check the disassembly guide for the SZ, the module seems to be located underneath the wireless switch above F9, F10 keys (page 19). So the mouse should work best behind the laptop, but it doesn't

Does anyone have a tip on what to check next? I'll keep you posted on what I find out!

    Cheers

The true is the BT antenna is located on the left side, about underneath ESC key. :)
You may have to try another BT device to find which one causes problem.
I didn't have that issue when I had my SZ750. My mouse is Logitech V270 BT.
I am still using it now.

How far is the range when used on the left side?

Very minimal, only about a foot-and-a-half (half a meter).

I can use my mouse fine at a range of 4, 5 feet from the laptop.
