I have a Sony VGN-AR270 with the Toshiba Bluetooth radio installed.

Lately, when trying to connect a bluetooth device I receive Bluetooth not ready.

If I try to pair the device again, it prompts me for the pin, and even displays the choice of bluetooth profiles the device offers (in this case handsfree or headset), but it won't proceed to complete. It simply says Bluetooth not ready.

I read a post here, but if I right click on the bluetooth icon there is no enable option. Instead I have a switch on the front of the laptop. BTW, the Bluetooth tray icon does represent disabled/enabled when turning this physical switch off and on.
