I have a Z590 running on XP and I tried 2 different monitors with HDMI (1920 x 1200) and it always results in blurry texts. Much worse than VGA. Is it a bad HDMI port or do I need to fix this with a setting?

Is it possible your HDMI to DVI cable is bad?

Do you have it clear at 1920x1200? I can get pretty clear at 1280x780 but anything higher and it gets blurry. Does the Z not support 1080p on monitors?

I haven't gotten a chance to swap cables

EDIT: VGA is still clearer on every resolution

Geez, I wish I had an idea. VGA should look worse, even at 1280x1024 or the like.

I have cloned my desktop on my 1920x1080 plasma on my z540 and it extremely clean; i have a hard time believing it wouldn't look that good on a normal monitor (if the monitor quality was good)

try to lower the resolution even more. You're just not picking up the right resolution.

Alright tech support just called me and they replaced all the possible pieces of software and it didn't fix the problem. They then replaced the HD with a Vista version and it fixed the problem.

Has anyone gotten HDMI working fine in Windows XP?

I am using a SONY Z590 with the Nvidia chipset
