Hi all, I want to get dual systems Windows+Ubuntu on my pre-installed windows 8 S15. But I have a problem with booting into Ubuntu. I googled this problem and found a similar case with Windows 7.

grub2 - Sony VAIO with Insyde H2O EFI bios will not boot into GRUB EFI - Ask Ubuntu

I followed the instructions of this thread and replaced the /Boot/bootx64.efi with /ubuntu/grubx64.efi in the EFI partition, but it was not working. I also tried to replace /Microsoft/Boot/bootmgfw.efi but it didn't help. It always boot into Windows 8 directly.

Can anyone help me to solve this problem? Thx.

Thank you for your help. I've tried this method before but it didn't work either.

Well, this problem is finally solved. It is the Windows 8 secure boot mechanism that prohibits Ubuntu to boot. You may go to BIOS and switch off the secure boot first. Then, following the instructions of that thread can solve this problem.
