    Hi Guys,

I had bought a TZ50B about 6 months back from japan. The vista installed in the japanese version. I would like to reinstall Vista English on it buy completely formatting my machine. I have already got the drivers from the sony US site.

Can someone tell me if the same key will work for a new vista installation? or do i have to purchase a new copy?

    Early help will be appreciated.

    Thanks

My guess is that you should be OK unless the COA sticker says Windows Vista Japanese. It is my understanding that the key will just be a check-sum type key and as long as no one else uses it you should be ok. If the key does not work I think you get like 30 days to activate anyways at which time you could buy a new copy.
