Bought my new Z..Couple Questions

Hey

I just went out and bought my new Z. What an awesome computer. A couple questions though....My computer didn't come with a Vista disc (way to save $20 sony). Will Sony send me a Vista install disc if I call them. Also, I am thinking about buying the 9 cell battery and that small stick charger they have. Has anybody else bought those...reviews if you have please. I would love to see a picture of your Z with the 9 cell battery if it is possible.

No, they won't send you one that won't cost $0 anyway. Just borrow some DVD-R's from a friend and burn recovery discs.

If you register your computer at Sony you will get a 20% accessory coupon code to purchase the battery at a lower price (i did got one anyway). If you do a search someone posted a picture; the battery sticks down a bit and raises the back end of the computer slightly.

the stick isn't that great a purchase from the reviews i have read on amazon. check out the numerous reviews there; from what i gather, the charging side of the stick charger is too short and makes it basically useless.

 

Dont get that stick charger. That big part is so short that if has to be next to your laptop. The cord are way too short. Go to amazon and read the review.

Did you know Sony is giving away free stick charger, free battery and another pooch free thru mail in rebate? I dont know if buying thru sony website apply. I got it from sony auth. reseller and its much cheaper.

Just burn your own recovery CD with it. It takes 2 DVD.
