Just got it straight from Sony.com

Inserted the battery and memory module, push the power button - it's start, but nothing is on the screen. Looks like the screen doesn't even power up.

The power led is on, the wi-fi led is on, fan is forking. Just wont boot.

    Any ideas?

So you bought a ram stick and installed it when you got the new laptop? Try taking out the newly installed memory stick and see if it boots(keep the old memory in the laptop).
