I finally got the function keys (display brightness, volume) to work with Vista on my SZ160. When I wake the machine from sleep it loses the brightness setting I set it at and reverts to full brightness, I then have to reset it. This is happening when in speed mode. Is anyone else having the same problem?

Have you looked at the brightness settings in the power management panel, I think it reverts to these after a reboot/wakeup. By default it is set to max for plugged in, I knocked mine down to about 80%.

Did you install the drivers for the SZ160 in any special order to get the function keys to work? I have had trouble getting the S buttons and the FN keys to work on mine.

I don't see a Brightness setting or control in Vista's power management tool? Where do you see and set this? The only options in power I have under display is to turn the display off and the adaptive thing.

This is really bothering me because I want it to change the brightness automatically.

I've found the brightness control generally only shows up with the NVidia. You can adjust some brightness with the Intel GPU, but not as much as you can with the dedicated GPU.
