Frequently, after I come back from hibernation, my machine's brightness is stuck at 0.

When I try to pump it up using Fn+F6, the brightness meter comes up (but doesn't always add bars right away) and the screen gets bright...

However, this only lasts for a few seconds, and the screen goes dark again. I have to keep pressing Fn+F6.

I've tried switching Power Profiles from Always On, to Maximum Battery, and everything in between... no dice. I tried playing around with the power settings to change everything to level 9 on AND off battery, also no luck.

The only solution I've found is to reboot.

Anyone else experience this ? Any solutions ?

    Thanks !

Are you using the original drivers from Sony or from laptopvideo2go?

I'm using the stock Sony drivers.

What should I check in the nVidia setup ?

On a related note, I think I only have this problem when I'm in Speed mode BTW...

I have the SAME issues. I believe its the autodim feature thats not working after standy and hybernation. Becuase of that, I just turned off the autodim in the nvidia controls.

Yeah this is easy to fix, I had the problem. In your Power Properties change the notebooks, battery or AC adapter whatever your on to the brightness you want it. Or else it will keep going back up/down even after the Fn+F6

Where is this AutoDim feature that you speak of? I've searched everywhere and I can't find it. I think I must have somehow accidentally disabled it.
