My caps lock key on my early 2012 S13 has broken off and it won't reattach. The hinge is just fine, its the keycap itself that won't attach to the hinge, so all I need is the caps lock keycap.
I called Sony and they want me to send the whole laptop in and if they determine it was my fault they'll charge me for a whole new keyboard. i think that that is ridiculous when all I need is a little plastic piece.
Does anyone know where I can locate a replacement or of anything I could do? I tried the replacement from replacementlaptopkeys.com but even though it said it was for an SVS series it doesn't fit. I emailed them and they said they've never seen that hinge before.

I was hoping, because you were able to help OP in this thread that you might be able to help me too.
I have a Sony Vaio Fit15(SVF15A17CDB) with a broken Caps lock key cap.
I have tried a few different websites with no luck on finding keys for this model.
Any assistance you can provide is much appreciated.
Thank you. -
Different model may have different hinge design, so it may not fit in.
