I have a Vaio PCG-K25, I got it 4-5 yrs ago. A couple weeks ago the CD drive stopped working. When I put any type of cd into it, it spins and makes the noise like its trying to read it but it thinks all cd's are blank. I have tried a lens cleaning cd but it has not helped. I also uninstalled the driver and rebooted, as well as downloading the updated driver but nothing has worked. Any further advice? Or does it sound like I just need to replace? And if I do need to replace it, does anyone know what Drive is an exact fit for replacement? Thanks for all the help.

Perhaps the lens rail has gotten stuck.
Open up the tray and use your hands to move the laser back and forth ;)
