I am planning to upgrade my SZ381 CPU to 2.33 GHz C2D when the price drops to a quarter of what it is now.

My question is what will I get from the boxed CPU version?
Are the heatsink and fan included?
Are the heatsink and fan compatible with SZ?

I have seen some upgrade SZ CPU guide from this forum but none of them has pictures of the CPU right out of the box.

I failed to see why you wouldn't be able to use your current CPU cooling solution - there's not difference (sans ~10% clock speed which incidentally renders the whole upgrade pretty insignificant IMO.)

I am just worry that I may have to physically take out the heatsink from the new CPU and therefore risking damaging it. I am aware of tiny speed improvement which is why I will wait until the price drops significantly.

you neeed to use the heatsink and fan of the origianl SZ, its not like a desktop. you will have to get yourself some thermal grease.

There is always a rick of damage whenever you handle a delicate component like a processor, and you must take the relevant precautions. For example, make sure you wear an anti-static strap, or ground yourself in some way. You can ground yourself by holding a radiator pipe, although, ideally, you should connect the bear end of a wire to your skin, and the other bear end to the radiator, and this leaves you with two hands to work with.

I don't think you will recieve a new heatsink in the box. That is irrelevant anyway, because you will have to use the heatsink from the notebook itself, like Kyoshiro has mentioned. If you do everything carefully, and you take your time, the upgrade shouldn't be difficult.
